Travertine is a form of limestone that can be found in several geologic formations surrounding Moab and Green River, UT. It is deposited by groundwater that has become highly saturated with carbon dioxide. The groundwater is so saturated in some parts of Utah that it shoots out in geysers, up to 15 feet high. This pendant was collected locally and polished by hand, for uniquely wearable beauty.
