This richolite was found near Silver City, New Mexico. Stone from the same formation was used for the first known masonry arch in the Americas by the Zuni people. We hand-shaped and polished this stone in our Moab, UT store to bring out the natural color and subtle grain. The cord is hand spun from the local wetland dogbane plant, following the same process Navajo craftspeople have used for centuries. Approximately 1.75" x 1.25" on a 24" cord.
